SUMMARY:Smart Grid Cyber Security\, Modelling and MitigationTest
DESCRIPTION:In this seminar\, Professor Zhaoyang Dong from the City University of Hong Kong discusses cyber-attacks on smart grids – including supply chain compromises and false data injection. He will present blockchain-enabled solutions and real-world risk mitigation examples. \n\n\n\nCyber-attacks—including supply chain compromises and false data injection—pose a critical threat to smart grids\, targeting components\, services\, and operational integrity. Blockchain technology has emerged as a promising solution to enhance smart grid security\, leveraging its transparency\, immutability\, and decentralized nature. In this project\, we propose novel blockchain-enabled security systems designed to mitigate such cyber-attacks and automate security agreements across the smart grid value chain. A prototype supply chain system was implemented on the Ethereum blockchain and evaluated against real-world attack scenarios. Examples of cyber security risks and mitigation measures in smart grids will also be given. \n\n\n\nZoom:
https://kth-se.zoom.us/j/61114728587 \n\n\n\n\n\nBio\n\n\n\nProfessor Zhaoyang Dong is a Chair Professor of Electrical Engineering\, and Head of Department of Electrical Engineering\, Director of JC STEM Lab of Future Energy Systems at the City University of Hong Kong. His previous roles include Singapore Power Group (SPG) Endowed Professor and Co-Director of SPG-NTU Joint Lab at Nanyang Technological University\, Singapore; SHARP Professor\, Director of UNSW Digital Grid Futures Institute at the University of NSW\, Australia; Ausgrid Chair Professor and Director of Ausgrid Centre for Intelligent Electricity Networks\, led the R&D support for the AUD500m Smart Grid\, Smart City national demonstration project of Australia. He also worked as the manager for (transmission) system planning with state transmission utility company in Australia. His research includes power system planning\, smart grid\, renewable energy systems and electricity market. He is a Fellow of IEEE. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nProfessor Zhaoyang Dong \n\n\n\n\n\n \n + Export iCal File
