Akademiska Hus develops long-term sustainable campuses together with academia, business, and society. Their aim is to reduce climate impact, promoting resource efficiency, and supporting the introduction of new technologies in the property sector.
Project participation
As the property owner of some of Sweden’s most innovative campus environments, Akademiska Hus plays a pivotal role in Dig-IT Lab. We provide real-world testbeds where research and development are translated into practice. Here, ideas are brought to life – sensors monitor and analyse the use of spaces, digital twins simulate building functions, and new business models are trialled in live environments. These tests deliver valuable insights that help us develop properties and campus areas that meet future demands for sustainability and digitalisation.
Through our engagement in Dig-IT Lab, we not only strengthen our ties to research and development but also collaborate with academia and industry to create solutions that drive transformation in the sector and inspire others to follow our example.
