Testbed Xn (TXn) is an innovative collaborative platform for testing new digital functions and services within the built environment. The platform links advanced software and tools from various providers to increase standardisation, reproducibility, and industrialisation.

The testbed provides fast and cost-effective access to data from various systems for both developers and researchers. It also serves as a collaborative platform where the industry can develop, compare, and agree upon standards and naming conventions. Testbed Xn connects data aggregation and integration platforms, smart building applications, building automation systems, and data from various machinery and equipment within the building.
User cases
Real Estate Core, Data Sharing, and Services
Fagerhult Group is leading one of the initial scenarios within TXn, where smart lighting is integrated with cloud platforms and shared data standards. The result is a suite of new opportunities for automation and energy efficiency – such as controlling HVAC systems using occupancy data from lighting sensors.
This initiative is built on the Real Estate Core (REC) edge interface, which enables seamless data sharing between smart lighting systems and the ProptechOS platform.
